George was an immigrant from Badeu Villingen, Hesse-Darmstadt who settled in Rochester, NY.  While in the 151st, he was a stretcher bearer.  He died of illness while stationed in Baltimore and is buried in Alexandria National Cemetery, Alexandria, VA

Paul Sisley, my great, great grandfather was actually a Canadian citizen when he volunteered in Newfane, (Niagara County) New York. It's possible he was wounded, because he was an 'invalid' (from Military Pension application in 1870), and died soon after that in New York.
